Project 

Changes in the education sector and recent world events, means there is a greater need for strategic agility, improved measurement of performance, and deeper evidenced based understanding of factors influencing student recruitment.

Activities included:

  • Analysis of current forecasting practices

  • Collation of factors that may indicate future trends in student recruitment

  • Statistical model building

  • Research and testing of influencing factors

  • Presentation of findings

Outcomes achieved:

  • Model design for inclusion in future machine learning prediction decision support tool

  • Improved forecasting capability through evidenced based critique and comparison

  • Recommendations for process optimisation, identifying gaps and/or replacement of ad hoc processes

  • Challenging of existing assumptions and norms

  • New insights that could potentially be shared with customers and partners
